‘PEOPLE ARE DISAPPOINTED’ IN THE KURDISTAN REGION’S DEVELOPMENT:
New Generation Movement President Shaswar Abdulwahid said that the reason for Kurdistan Region’s people migrating is because of their disappointment of the Region’s development.
He said that "after 30 years, Kurdish rulers are the same without any changes or reforms.”
"Apart from the reasons we have mentioned earlier, in a simple language, is the lack of hope.” He added.
Abdulwahid previously talked about the issue and said lack of job opportunities, security and economy instability is the reason for people to leave the Region.
Thousands of migrants and asylum from Iraq and the Kurdistan Region are currently stranded on the Poland-Belarus border. At least ten people have died in recent months trying to cross the border from Belarus.
