This evening, Muhammad Shia Sudani, the Prime Minister of Iraq, met with the New Generation faction in the Iraqi parliament.
At the beginning of the meeting, the New Generation faction called on the Prime Minister to expedite the transfer of the salaries of the security forces, as they have not been paid for a long time. The Prime Minister promised to send the salaries of the security forces within the next two days.
During the same meeting, the issue of the salaries of the region's salaried earners was discussed. The Prime Minister committed to adhering to the decision of the Federal Court regarding the salaries of the region's earners.
At the same time, the Prime Minister assured that he is in contact with the relevant parties regarding the salaries of the region's salaried earners and insists on implementing the Federal Court's decision on this matter.
Regarding the parliamentary elections in Kurdistan, the Prime Minister affirmed that elections will be held in Kurdistan and that the Iraqi government is monitoring the election process to ensure it is clean and fair.
Regarding the case of mass graves of the Anfal victims, their deportation, and DNA testing, the Prime Minister expressed his sympathy and stated that it is a humanitarian issue and that they support it.
Regarding the Kurdish teachers and employees in Kirkuk and the disputed areas whose salaries are paid by the region, the New Generation faction called for their salaries to be accelerated according to the government's agenda. The Prime Minister announced that the salaries of these individuals will be accounted for by the Iraqi government as soon as possible.
