Dear citizens,

Despite the arrest of the leader of our movement, and despite all the pressure from the authorities and the opposition, as well as the targeting of the New Generation Movement as a brave and principled opposition force that refused to fall under the control and shadow of the authorities, we would like to express our gratitude for the votes and trust of the citizens and all the volunteers of the New Generation Movement.

Rest assured that no matter how many seats we win and wherever we are, we will stand with the people.

We congratulate the winning forces and hope that they will share the pain and wounds of the people.

Although the election results did not meet our expectations, the two ruling parties arrested the leader of our movement and opposed the plan of the New Generation Movement as a courageous opposition both in Baghdad and the Kurdistan Region.

It has become clear that the authorities fear only this kind of opposition presented by the New Generation Movement. We are certain that had they not arrested the leader of the New Generation Movement, the authorities would never have achieved this result or implemented this plan.

The important point we want to emphasize is that the New Generation Movement will continue with the same idea and principles of defending the people, and we will not compromise on any of the values we believe in and work for to ensure the welfare of the people.

Despite everything, we still believe that elections and the mass participation of dissatisfied and divided citizens are the best way to bring change, apply pressure on the authorities, and improve people’s lives.

Finally, as an opposition force, we are confident that no force or individual will be oppressed, and we will continue to work tirelessly to reach the highest levels of power.
